Read your daily reports

Where to find your child's daily report with attendance, meals, naps, activities, and photos, and how it fills in through the day.

Every day your child is in care, their teacher keeps a daily report in the Clear Day app. It's the quickest way to see how the day went, drop-off to pickup.

What's in a report

  • AI Summary: a short, friendly recap of the day at the top, when one's available
  • Attendance: the Check-in and Check-out times
  • Meals: each meal, like Breakfast, Lunch, or PM Snack, with how much your child ate (None, Some, Half, Most, or All)
  • Naps: when your child rested, with any notes from the teacher
  • Activities: what the class got up to, with the teacher's notes
  • Notes: anything else the teacher wants you to know
  • Photos: moments caught during the day
  • Behavior (web only): a once-a-day rating the teacher may set (Star Day, Green Day, or Red Day), sometimes with a short note. It's read-only for you, and it isn't shown in the mobile app report.

Read the report in your language

On iPhone and iPad, Clear Day can translate a report into your language. When your device language is set to something other than English (and the matching language pack is installed), a one-tap Translate control appears on the report. It translates the AI Summary and the teacher's notes (meals, naps, activities, and notes); times and section labels stay as they are. The translation happens on your device: the report text never leaves your phone to be translated. If translation isn't available on your device, the report just shows normally.

Find today's report

  1. Open Clear Day. Your children show up as cards on the main screen, one card each.
  2. On your child's card, tap Today's Report.

That opens the full report for today.

It fills in as the day goes

A report builds as the day unfolds, so it's worth a second look. Pull down to refresh and pull in the latest meals, naps, and photos. Most rooms finish up around pickup, so the fullest version is usually waiting for you that evening.

Look back at past days

At the top of the report, next to the date, there are two arrows. Tap the back arrow to step to the day before, and keep tapping to go further back. The forward arrow walks you toward today, and it stops once you reach it.

Older reports stay open to you. To keep photos for good, see Save your child's photos.

Hear about updates as they happen

Turn on notifications so new updates and photos reach you when they're posted.

  • Allow notifications for Clear Day in your phone's settings.
  • In the app, open Settings → Notifications and pick the updates you want: Messages, Attendance, Student Events, and Daily Updates.
