Message your school

Messages is your ongoing conversation with your child's teachers. Use it for a heads-up about the morning, an answer to a teacher's question, or a photo. If you need to send the director a private request, use Talk to a director instead.

Read and reply

Open Messages and tap a conversation to read the thread. Type your reply in the box at the bottom and send it.

Start a new conversation

In the app, tap Compose at the top of Messages, find the person by name or by your child's name, and start the conversation.

React

To acknowledge a message without typing, add a reaction: ❤️, 👍, 😄, 👏 or 🤗. Tap the same one again to remove it.

Share a photo

In the app, tap Attach to choose a photo, use the camera or add a GIF. On the web, attach a JPG, PNG or PDF. Each file can be up to 10 MB.

Translate a message

When a teacher writes in another language, tap Translate under their message. Tap Hide translation to go back to the original. When you write in the app, the composer says Translates both ways if your teacher's language is different from yours.

After your child leaves

Your conversations become read-only. You can read the whole history, but a banner says Read-only — your child no longer attends this school, and you can't send messages or add reactions.
