Clear Day help
For families

Switch schools or join a new one

Available on every plan

Move between the Clear Day schools on your family account, read the history from a school your child has left, and join a new school.

If your children are at more than one Clear Day school, or you're moving to a new one, it all stays in one family account and one app.

Switch between your schools

On the web, open the account menu and choose Switch school.

In the app, tap the school name at the top of your home screen. It only opens when you have more than one school. You land on Switch school.

Each school is listed with how many children you have there. Tap any other school to load it.

In the app, each school is a card with a tag for each child and an Active badge on the school you're viewing. A child's tag says Active, Graduated or Withdrawn. On the web, the school you're viewing is tagged Current.

For a while you may see both schools at once. Once the old school marks your child as withdrawn, it moves to Historical in the app and View only on the web.

What you can still read after your child leaves

A school tagged Historical (View only on the web) is read-only. Your child no longer goes there, but the record stays yours for as long as you keep your account:

  • Photos and daily reports
  • Incident reports
  • The calendar and past events
  • Past message threads

You can't send new messages, add a payment method or turn on autopay at a school you've left. Save any photos you want before the school closes your child's profile. See Save your child's photos.

Join a new school

Clear Day can't move your child between schools for you, because each school keeps its own records. Ask the new school's office to add your family, and give them the email address you use for Clear Day. Once they do, the school appears in your Switch school list next to the old one.

The new school's staff then set up your child's profile, contacts and pickup list. Billing starts fresh too: each school bills on its own, so your old school's payment method doesn't carry over.

If your school is opening spots for next term and sent you an early offer, that's a different path. See Respond to early enrollment invitations.

Forgot your pickup PIN?

Ask your school to reset your pickup PIN.

If an invitation never shows up, call the new school's office or email [email protected].
