Clear Day help
For families

Check today's moments and activity

See your family's pinned notes, open tasks, on-site check-ins, and notable moments for the day, all on one screen.

Today is the quick read on your child's day. Rather than open every report, you get the parts worth a glance: notes your teacher pinned, tasks still open, who's checked in on-site, and any moment that stood out.

Where to find it

Sign in to Clear Day on the web. On your home screen, find the Today card and open it. Everything you see is scoped to your own children, grouped under your household name. You won't see other families.

Today lives on the web for now. The mobile app doesn't surface it to parents yet.

Pinned notes from your teacher

When a teacher wants to make sure something reaches you, they pin a note. Pinned notes show up on your Today card with a short label for the kind of note (General, Interest, Milestone, and the like) and the full message below it. These are the items your teacher chose to keep in front of you.

What "notable today" means

If your child had a standout moment, a star appears on your card. Tap it to open a short Notable today line with your child's first name and a sentence on why the day stood out. It's a gentle highlight, not an alert. There's nothing you need to do.

Open tasks

An open task is a small to-do tied to your family, shown with its title and, often, a suggested next step in lighter text below. For parents these are read-only. They're there so you know what's in motion. If anything looks like it needs a reply, reach out to your teacher.

On-site check-in

Once your child is checked in for the day, the card shows a green line: • [your child's name] on-site today. No line yet means they haven't been checked in.

When there's nothing to flag, you'll see All caught up. Pinned notes and open tasks land here as the day goes on.
