Understand your weekly family digest

Every Sunday, Clear Day gathers your child's week into one short recap called the weekly family digest. If the days got away from you, it's a calm way to catch back up.

What's in it

The digest is a warm, two-or-three-paragraph read about your child's week. It pulls from the daily reports, the moments staff captured, and the photos they added, and it stays specific: a new food on Tuesday, a new friend on Friday, a couple of harder mornings that turned around. If you have more than one child at the school, each one gets their own paragraph.

Under the summary you'll see three counts:

• Reports shared that week
• Moments captured
• Photos added

When it arrives

Your first digest lands midday Sunday, and a new one follows every Sunday after. It goes out at the same moment for everyone rather than on your school's clock, which works out to late Sunday morning on the West Coast and early Sunday afternoon on the East Coast. Until that first one generates, you'll see a quiet note that it's on its way.

How it reaches you

When your digest is ready, Clear Day sends it two ways: a push notification and an email. You'll catch it whichever you check first.

Find this week's digest

Open the app's home screen and look for the This week card with the date. It shows the full recap right there. Tap it to open your digest history.

Look back over past weeks

Tapping the card opens your history. Clear Day keeps the last 12 weeks (about three months), so you can scroll back through your child's recent weeks. Each week shows its summary, the reports, moments, and photos counts, and when it was sent.

The screen is titled Weekly digests in the app and Weekly family digest on the web.

If a digest hasn't shown up

Digests go out midday Sunday, so a blank card earlier in the week is normal. If a Sunday afternoon passes with nothing, pull down to refresh. One kind of week is skipped on purpose: a very quiet one. Clear Day adds up the daily reports, moments, and photos logged that week for every child you have at the school, and if the total across all of them comes to fewer than three, it writes a short "quiet week" note into your history instead of a full recap, and sends no push or email for it. A week with two photos and nothing else is quiet enough to skip; if you have more than one child, it's the combined total across all of them that's checked, not any one child's on its own: two children with two photos each add up to four and get the full recap.

Still nothing a day later? There's no Clear Day setting that turns the digest off, so it isn't a preference you've flipped. If the push didn't arrive, check that notifications are allowed for Clear Day in your phone's settings, and check the email: it's sent either way. Then reach out to your child's school.
