Acknowledge an incident report

If something happens during the day that the school documents (a bump, a fall, or another incident), they may share an incident report with you. When they do, Clear Day asks you to acknowledge it so the school knows you've seen it.

You'll only ever see reports the school has chosen to share with your family. Anything kept internal stays out of your view.

Spot the banner on your home screen

When a report is waiting for you, a red banner shows up at the top of your home screen. It names the incident type and your child, with a prompt to review and acknowledge.

Each unacknowledged report gets its own banner. Tap Review to open the full report.

Review the report

The report opens with the details the school recorded: the type and severity, what happened, any action taken, where and when it occurred, and which children were involved.

Take a moment to read it through before you acknowledge.

Acknowledge it

At the bottom of the report you'll find Acknowledge this report.

1. If you'd like, type your name in the sign field to add a signature. This is optional: you can acknowledge without it.
2. Tap Acknowledge.

You'll see a confirmation thanking you for acknowledging the report, and the page updates to show that you've acknowledged it. The red banner drops off your home screen.

Acknowledging is a one-time action: once you've done it, you won't be asked again for that report.

On the web or in the app

Incident reports work the same way whether you're on the Clear Day app on your phone or signed in from a web browser. The banner, the review step, and the acknowledge action all appear in both.
