Sign consent forms

When your school asks for your consent on a form (a field trip, a media release, a policy), Clear Day prompts you to review it and sign with your typed name.

Your school can ask families to consent to things like a field trip, a media release, or a policy they want on record. When a form is waiting for you, Clear Day prompts you to read it and sign so the school knows you've agreed.

You'll only see the forms your school has assigned to your family.

Find what needs signing

When a form is waiting for you, an Action needed prompt lists your pending consents. Each entry shows the form's title. Open one to read the full text the school wrote before you sign.

If a form is updated and the school publishes a new version, it shows up again as pending so you can review and sign the latest version.

Read and sign

Open the pending form to read it in full, then sign:

  1. If the form asks for a signature, type your name in the signature field. Some forms require it; for those you can't sign without it.
  2. Submit to record your consent.

When the school doesn't require a signature, you can sign the form without typing your name.

Once you've signed, the form moves out of your pending list and into your signed history, stamped with the date you acknowledged it. Signing is a one-time action for that version: you won't be asked again unless the school publishes a new version.

On the web or in the app

Consent forms work the same way whether you're signed in to Clear Day on your phone or from a web browser: the pending prompt, the form text, and the signature field appear in both.

For how schools build and assign these forms, see Manage consent forms.
