Sunny's tray: where the work waits

Sunny is the assistant built into Clear Day. You hand it a job, put the phone down, and pick it up later. Nothing it prepares goes anywhere until a person approves it.

Open Sunny

• Web: choose the sun button in the header. The Ask Sunny panel opens over the page you are on. A chip names what you are looking at, such as a family, and Sunny answers about that. Clear the chip to ask about the whole school. In the top navigation, Drafts shows a count of drafts waiting for you and opens the Review tray, with All, Replies and Briefs filters.
• App: tap the sun in the header. On a director's home screen, the Sunny tile shows live status such as "2 drafts ready".

The panel's menu (More Sunny surfaces on the web) holds History — what Sunny did, On its own — every morning & every Friday and What Sunny can do.

What is on the tray

• Ready for you: drafts waiting on your decision, most consequential first. Each is dashed and marked DRAFTED. Dashed means it has not happened yet. See drafts wait for your team.
• Working: one card per job Sunny is running, with the step it is on. A job runs on our servers, so it keeps going if you close the app. Stop cancels it, after asking "Stop this job?"
• Suggestions: up to three, picked by the time of day and the day of the week. Tapping one runs the ask.
• What you can ask: cards with a real example each. Tapping one sends that ask. Anything that would touch the world stops and hands you a draft, so a curious tap cannot act on its own. All skills opens the full list. See what Sunny can do.

Directors also see the morning brief at the top on mornings when one was composed.

The status line

One line under Sunny's name says what is true right now, for example "2 drafts ready · 1 job running" or "offline · 2 queued". It never says "Ready when you are".

Asking

Type in the box at the bottom, or use the microphone. You can attach a photo to an ask. With no signal, the ask waits in a queue. See work offline and pick it back up.

Two hand-offs work in the app only: Draft from notes on an incident report, and Generate with Sunny on a lesson plan. Both open Sunny with that record attached, and neither sends anything. To scan a form, see scan a paper form.
