Dictate classroom events

Say or type what happened in the room, review the entries Sunny drafts, and save them all at once.
Instead of logging each child one by one, tell Clear Day what happened. Sunny turns it into entries for you to check.
In the app
- Open the classroom and choose Dictate.
- Speak or type what happened. To speak, tap the microphone on your keyboard. For example: "Maya and Leo both finished all of their lunch, and Theo had a wet diaper change."
- Choose Review entries. The screen is titled Confirm entries and lists each draft with its type, such as Meal, Bathroom, Nap, Note or Observation.
- Remove any draft that is wrong with the x beside it. Then choose Confirm and the number of entries.
You can save up to 20 entries at once. If there are more, remove some and dictate the rest as a second note. All the entries save together or not at all, so if something goes wrong, nothing is half-saved and you can try again.
If you leave before confirming, your note and drafts are kept on the device and come back when you return.
On the web
Log for room has a second tab, Dictate. Type or paste what happened. Optionally choose a hint, Observation, Meal or Note, or leave it on "Let Clear Day decide". Then review the drafts under Review before saving, remove any you do not want, and save. See log for the whole room.
Good to know
- On recent iPhones with Apple Intelligence, the first pass runs on the phone itself. Otherwise it goes to our server. See how your data is handled.
- Sunny only drafts. Nothing is saved to a child's record until you confirm.

Scan a paper form
