Clear Day writes the first draft of the message your team was going to send anyway, in your school’s voice, with the family’s own history attached. If it sounds right, your team sends it. If not, edit or skip.

You never type a prompt. Drafts show up in the screens your team already uses, as the day produces them. Here’s where.
Open the app before the kids arrive. You see today's on-site families, the parent who's been quiet, the milestone that lands this week, the tour from Tuesday, the open tasks. Composed for you ahead of the day, ready when you open it.
Say the Whitfields (the family from Tuesday's tour) message at 9pm asking about your nap schedule. On Grow, your assistant director asks the thread for a suggested reply, and one comes back built from the conversation and what your team noted on tour day. She tightens one line and sends it before she closes her laptop. The draft is never saved and never sends itself.
A parent stops you at pickup and mentions a job change. On the way back to your office, dictate or type a quick recap. Clear Day pulls out the key details and adds them to the family record for you to check before they're saved.
Pinned notes, big events, name pronunciations, the things that matter to the family. All of it lives on the family record, right next to a badge showing at a glance how long they've been with you.
A tour wraps on Tuesday; the follow-up draft is waiting the next morning. A family withdraws; a warm reach-back is drafted and scheduled for the date you pick. An alum's little one turns two; the family surfaces with a reminder to reach out.
Open a family record before a tour, a parent-teacher meeting, or a hard conversation. The brief at the top tells you what to know and what to leave alone, and lists the notes, messages, and moments it was built from.
AI-drafted outreach (tour follow-ups, check-ins, withdrawal reach-backs) never sends itself. Drafts and tasks wait in your queue; edit, skip, or send. Two AI-written family sends go out on a schedule instead: the end-of-day report, at the time your school sets and switchable off by each parent, and the Sunday family digest, which has no such switch today.
The drafting, the questions, and the paper-reading all come from the same place: Sunny Assist, the tray your team hands jobs to. It shows its work on a receipt that names each step and what that step read, and turns anything consequential into a draft somebody on your staff has to approve.
Full messaging lives inside Clear Day, so the drafted replies have somewhere to land. Direct messages with a parent, channels for your team, threaded replies, emoji reactions, and the option to schedule a message to send later.
Start a conversation with a parent or a colleague and search recipients by name.
Group conversations with the right members; a Staff/Families inbox toggle keeps lanes separate.
Reply in-thread, react with emoji, and share rich text, links, and multiple photo or PDF attachments per message.
Compose now, send later. Queued messages wait until the time you picked.
Save an audience once (toddler-room parents, this year's alumni) and reuse it. Templates for the notes you write every week, external contacts alongside family threads, and a read on what actually got delivered.
The growth work runs alongside the operations your license depends on. Medications, immunizations, ratios, incidents, and head counts all live in Clear Day, with an audit trail behind each one.
Record a medication on a child's profile, then log each dose given, and record a second teacher or admin as witness when your policy calls for one. Parents are notified automatically, and the administration history stays on file even after a medication ends.
Track each vaccine and dose with up-to-date, due-soon, or overdue badges derived from the next-due date, plus medical, religious, or philosophical exemptions. An admin report lists every child whose vaccines are due or overdue.
Staff-to-child ratio snapshots flag violations, and state licensing rules are built in so your team can see the limits that apply. Head-count spot checks catch discrepancies before they become findings.
File an incident with type, severity, and status; admins review and resolve it, and families acknowledge the report. Everything is recorded so nothing slips through.
Nap timers and activity countdowns that live on the classroom screen your teachers already have open: no extra app, no phone timer.
Attendance, ratio compliance, incidents, spot checks, daily activities, CACFP meal counts, rosters, staff, and immunizations due all live in one place. Admins can also build a custom report from a safe set of fields and filters, then preview, export, or save it.
Follow it from open to close. Nothing here starts with a prompt. Each one is already there when you open the app.

Open the app and there’s a short list. The parent who’s been quiet. The tour from Tuesday. The pinned note about the new baby. The alum’s little one turning seven on Friday. Five minutes to clear it, then on with the day.
Open any family and there’s a short brief at the top. What to know, what to bring up, what to leave alone. Underneath, it lists what it was built from (the pinned note, the tour recap, the photo a teacher kept) so you can check the work.

Elena is a teacher; her partner works from home. They’re comparing Clear Day against Oak Street and Small World. Mateo asked three times about outdoor time on the tour and lit up at the turtle in the Butterfly Room. Light, no-pressure follow-up tends to land best with families like this.

The family walks out, the day starts again, and the recap you meant to write never gets written. The next morning, a draft is waiting when you open the app, in your school’s voice.
✓ Approved & sent · 8:11 AMYour center’s information stays yours. It is never shared, sold, or used to improve AI models, including ours. Clear Day drafts from attendance records, teacher notes, and scheduling data. The photos teachers post to families are never sent to a model. The one time an image does reach one is when a staff member uploads it on purpose (a scanned form to document capture, or a photo attached to a question in the Sunny tray), and then it is read to answer that request. Health details stay out of drafts unless your staff types them in.
AI-drafted outreach (tour follow-ups, check-ins, withdrawal reach-backs) waits for a staff member to send it, and nothing is written to a record without a person confirming it. Two AI-written family sends work differently: the end-of-day report goes out at the time your school sets, and a parent can switch it off; the Sunday family digest goes out too, with no switch yet.
Sources on every brief
Each brief lists the notes, messages, and moments it was built from, so you can always go check the work.
Encrypted and US-hosted
Customer data is encrypted in transit and at rest on US-based infrastructure, with strict role-based access controls. Changes to a child’s record, to billing, and to billing policy are each recorded with who changed what and when.
Sounds like your school
Drafts are written to a warm, specific house style and grounded in that family’s own history with you. The note sounds like the teacher wrote it, because they did, with help.
What the AI actually does
The outreach drafts above are labelled with what each was prepared from (the family’s message it answers, or your own tour note) and wait for a staff approval before they send. The two scheduled sends named earlier (the end-of-day report and the Sunday family digest) are AI-written too and go out on their own schedule, with no per-message approval. Sunny Assist covers the rest: work receipts for licensing audits, offline queueing for teachers in the field, and reading a photographed paper form field by field.
