About Clear Day

Childcare software, built by parents who’ve been on the other side of the app.

Clear Day is software for daycares and preschools, made by The Tiny Steps Company. It runs the daily side of a school and helps fill the seats, with the small follow-ups drafted in your voice and waiting for your team to send.

Why we built it

We’re parents too.

Clear Day is made by parents, for parents, and for the schools they hand their kids to every morning. That is what decides the arguments: the accounts belong to the families, and the history follows the kid. A child is never a growth lever. You don’t have to take that on faith: the mechanism enforcing it is on this page.

What we stand for

Four things we won’t compromise on.

Drafts wait for your team.

Clear Day writes the tour follow-up, the warm note after a withdrawal, the short list your team opens each morning. None of it sends on its own. A person on your team reads it, edits it, and decides. The software does the part that never gets done; your team keeps the part that matters.

AI inside the product, not bolted on.

There's no separate chatbot to learn. The drafting shows up where the work already happens, written to a warm, specific house style, and each draft lists the notes and messages it was built from so you can check the work.

Run the school and grow it from one app.

Most childcare software runs your day and leaves growth to a spreadsheet on the side. Clear Day Run and Clear Day Grow share one family record, so you can do both jobs without two logins or two contracts.

Published pricing.

$59 per classroom for Run, $99 for Grow. One flat price per classroom. The numbers are on the page before you talk to anyone, and you can cancel from inside the app.

If you want the long version, the how it works page walks through a Tuesday morning, and the pricing page has every number.

Who it’s for

The kind of school where the director knows every kid’s name.

Clear Day is built for independent daycares and preschools, the centers small enough that the people who run them still know the families. That shaped the privacy choices, the role-based access, and how your morning list reads.

Parents are part of it too. One account holds every kid at every school they attend, and it stays read-only after a child graduates or you cancel. If your child’s school isn’t on Clear Day yet, the most useful thing you can do is forward the pricing page to your director.

Where we stand on your data

Children’s records are not a growth lever.

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, hosted in the United States, and never used to train AI models. Every model call goes through a single wrapper that cannot pass a training parameter, and a build check blocks any code path around it.

We don’t sell personal information or share it for behavioral advertising, and there are no ad trackers on the marketing site. Your roster, photos, messages, and billing history export in standard formats whenever you ask: during the trial, while you’re a customer, and after you leave. The license you grant us to run the service closes when your account does.
