Photos and today's moments

Photos are the small moments families wait all day to see. The Today dashboard is the other side of the same coin: it shows you which families need you right now. This article covers both.

View a student's photo gallery

Open a student and tap Photo Gallery in their quick links to land on the Photos screen. Photos sit in day sections, each with a date heading (Today, Yesterday, or the full date) and a count like "8 photos."

Pull down to refresh. As you scroll, older photos load on their own. On the web you'll see a Load more button at the bottom instead.

Before anyone has added a photo, the screen reads No photos yet and tells you that photos taken and attached to events will show up here.

Add a photo

Only staff can add photos: teachers and school admins.

On the phone, tap the camera button in the bottom-right corner and take the photo. The gallery refreshes with it in place.

On the web, click Add Photo and pick a JPEG or PNG from your device. It uploads and the gallery updates.

View a photo full screen

Tap any thumbnail to open the full-screen viewer. The date sits at the top and a counter like "3 / 20" at the bottom.

On the phone, swipe to move between photos and pinch to zoom. On the web, use the on-screen arrows or your left and right arrow keys, and press Esc to close.

Tap Close when you're done.

Delete a photo

Staff can delete a photo. On the phone, long-press a thumbnail, or open the viewer and tap the trash icon. On the web, open the viewer and click Delete. Either way, confirm Delete in the prompt.

Deleting is permanent, and families lose access to the photo too. Delete only what shouldn't have been shared in the first place.

Open the Today dashboard

The Today screen is your short list: the families worth your attention right now. Who's on-site, what's been flagged as notable, and any pinned notes or open tasks.

The All families / Mine filter at the top switches between every flagged family and only the ones assigned to you. Each card shows the household name and, when it applies, which students are on-site today. Tap a card to open that family's record.

When nothing needs you, the screen reads All caught up: no families are flagged for today.

What the moments mean

A family card can carry a few kinds of moments:

Moment	What it means
Notable today	A standout moment for a student. Tap the star to read why, then View event to open the family record.
Pinned note	A note staff pinned to keep front-of-mind, shown with its kind label.
Open task	A follow-up to handle. Tap it to work through it; a suggested action shows up when there is one.

The star chip marks the family's most important thing today. When you're short on time, start there.
