Medications and immunizations
Available on Run and Grow
Record a child's medications, log each dose with a witness, and track immunization records and their compliance status.
Both records live on the child's profile. Directors create and edit them. Teachers can read both and can give a dose.
Medications
The Medications card holds real medication records and a witnessed log of every dose. (The Medications tag in the child's form is only a heads-up; see Add contacts, caregivers and allergies.)
Add a medication
A director selects Add medication and enters the Name (required) and, if they apply, Dosage, Frequency, Route, Prescriber, Start date, End date and Instructions. Use the edit and remove buttons to keep a record current. Removing a medication that has already been given doesn't erase it: it's marked Ended and stays in the history.
Give a dose
Any teacher or director selects Give on the medication.
- Confirm the Dose (it fills in from the record) and Given at.
- Choose Witnessed by. A second staff member must witness every dose. You can't witness your own, so the list shows everyone at your school except you. Confirm & notify parents stays disabled until you choose one. If no one else is on site, record the dose once another staff member is present.
- Add Notes if you like, then select Confirm & notify parents.
The dose is logged and the parents are notified. Each medication shows when it was last given, and Administration history below lists every dose with the time, who gave it and who witnessed it.
In the app, open Medications from the child's profile. Give is rolling out in the app: if you don't see it yet, it isn't on for your school.
Immunizations
The Immunizations card sits below medications.
A director selects Add immunization and enters the Vaccine (required) and, optionally, Dose #, Administered, Next due, Lot # and Provider. Turn Required for compliance off for an optional vaccine. Choose an Exemption (medical, religious or philosophical) and add Exemption notes when one applies. In the app, open Immunizations from the profile.
Clear Day works out each record's badge:

| Up to date | The dose is current. |
| Due soon | A dose is due within your school's due-soon window. The card shows the exact number of days. |
| Overdue | A required dose is past its due date. |
| Exempt | The record carries an exemption. |
