Preview your draft and restore an older version

See your draft before it's live, share a private preview link, and go back to an earlier version of your site.
Your site has two copies: the draft you're editing and the version families see. Changes from Sunny, or from you, only touch the draft until you choose Publish changes. A gold Unpublished changes tag appears whenever the two differ.
Preview the draft
On the web, the preview sits beside the publish card on your Website page. Use Desktop and Phone to check both. Before you've answered anything, it shows a sample site with the note "Sample site. Yours appears here as you answer Sunny's questions."
- Open preview shows the draft in a new tab. Once your site is live, that link reads Open live site.
- Copy preview link copies a private link to the draft.
In the app, open Settings, then Website. View site opens the live page. The preview link is under Share your site.
Share the preview link
Below your web address is a Preview link. It says: "Share this to show the draft before it goes live. Anyone with the link can view it." Send it to a co-director or a friend whose eye you trust.
The link shows the draft, so it changes as you edit. To shut it off, choose Get a new link (in the app, press and hold it). Anyone with the old link loses access. The live site isn't affected.
Go back to an earlier version
Every save makes a version. Choose See history at the bottom of the publish card. On the web it shows a list like "v4 · Draft" and "v3 · Live", each with a short summary of what changed and when. In the app, choose History.
- View opens that version in the preview. A "Viewing v3" ribbon appears. Choose Exit to return to your draft. You can't edit while you're viewing an old version.
- Restore copies that version into your draft. It asks "Restore version 3?" and says "This copies it into your draft. It doesn't publish anything." Publish it when you're happy.
A restore adds a new version called "Restored version 3" to the list. Nothing is deleted.
Throw away your changes
If you've edited and want to start over from what's live, choose Discard changes. The confirmation says "Your draft goes back to what was last published. This can't be undone."
