Add facts from your handbook or flyer

If your hours, programs and policies already live in a handbook, you don't have to retype them. Upload the document and Sunny fills in what it can read. You decide what stays.

This is on the web, on the first screen of the question-by-question builder, called "Get a head start." If your builder opens as a chat instead, there's no upload step. You can still type the same facts to Sunny.

Upload a document

1. On Get a head start, find "Have a parent handbook, welcome packet or brochure?"
2. Choose Upload a document. It takes a PDF, a Word file or a photo, up to 15 MB.
3. Wait for "Reading your document…" to finish.

If you entered your current website address, you may also see "We found these on your current website." Choose Use this next to a file to read it without uploading anything.

Review what Sunny found

The list called "Here is what we found" can include these answers:

• Programs
• Youngest age served
• Oldest age served
• Hours
• Enrollment status
• Your philosophy
• Common questions

Each one is checked. Uncheck anything that's wrong or out of date. Choose Where this came from to see the exact words in your document. When you're done, choose Use these answers. You'll see "Added to your answers."

If the file couldn't be read, the screen says "We could not read anything useful from that file." Try another file, or choose "I don't have one, I'll answer a few questions instead."

Confirm before you publish

Anything that came from a document counts as unconfirmed until you've looked at it. Your site can't go live with an unconfirmed fact on it. The publish checklist shows it as a stop and names the fact. Choose Confirm next to it, or Change it if it's wrong. See Choose your web address and publish.

Keep in mind that Sunny reads the document as written. If your handbook is from last year, check the hours and openings.
