Your Clear Day plan

What's in each plan: Run and Grow

How Run and Grow differ, what each one turns on, and where your trial and the Grow tab fit.

Clear Day comes in two plans: Run and Grow. Run is the operations stack on its own, drafting for daily reports and family briefs included; Grow adds the enrollment engine and the drafting that goes with it. Your trial opens everything.

This is your school's bill to Clear Day for the software. It's separate from tuition billing, which is the money parents pay your school. The two never mix. If you're looking for invoices, autopay, or refunds for families, that lives in the billing and for-families articles.

Run: the operations stack

Run is the day-to-day software that runs your center. It includes:

  • Attendance
  • Daily reports, with the day's narrative drafted for you
  • Parent messaging
  • Billing
  • Admissions
  • Parent accounts
  • Family briefs that gather a family's notes, messages and moments into one view
  • The heads-up when a past family comes back, or a younger sibling turns up
  • The morning brief card in Sunny's tray

If your center is humming along and you don't need help chasing enrollment, Run is enough on its own.

In the app, Run shows at $59 / classroom / mo (the picker shows whatever the current catalog price is, so trust the number on the card).

Grow: Run plus the enrollment engine

Grow is everything in Run, plus the Grow tab and the enrollment drafting that goes with it.

That means you get the full operations stack and:

  • The Grow tab, where leads, tours, applications, offers, and your waitlist live
  • Tour follow-ups that write themselves
  • Withdrawal reach-back, to stay in touch with families who leave
  • Drafted outreach when an alum's younger sibling is old enough to enroll
  • The full morning brief page that surfaces who needs attention today (the card in your tray is part of Run)
  • Reading a paper form with your phone's camera, and the enrollment, forecast and churn questions Sunny answers in chat

Sunny never sends anything on its own. Every draft it writes waits for someone on your team to read it and approve it. For the detail, see drafts wait for your team.

Two AI-written family emails elsewhere in Clear Day are the exception, and neither asks for a per-message approval: the end-of-day report, sent at the time your school sets and switchable off by each parent in their own notification settings, and the Sunday family digest, which goes to every family with an enrolled child and has no such switch today. See what the AI can see.

In the app, Grow shows at $99 / classroom / mo, and the web picker marks it Recommended.

What your 14-day trial opens

New schools start with a 14-day free trial. No credit card.

During the trial you get everything in both plans. The Grow tab is open and Clear Day drafts for you, with nothing held back. The trial is the time to see what each plan actually does before you decide what to pay for.

The trial banner at the top of the app counts down your remaining days. When it ends, you choose a plan to keep going. For the full picture of how the trial works and what happens at the end, see how your free trial works.

The Grow tab is locked to Grow

After the trial, the Grow tab follows your plan.

On Grow, the tab is open and everything inside it works. On Run, the tab carries a lock icon. Tap it and you'll see a Grow is part of the Grow plan screen with a See plans button instead of the pipeline. See plans takes you to an Unlock Grow page where you tap Switch to Grow, and because you already have a live subscription, Grow flips on in place. No checkout. (More on that just below.)

During the trial this doesn't apply. Grow is open to everyone while the trial runs.

Picking a plan changes what's active

The plan you choose decides which features turn on.

Upgrade from Run to Grow and the Grow tab opens. Downgrade from Grow to Run and the Grow tab goes back to locked, with the Grow is part of the Grow plan upgrade screen in its place. Your data is safe either way. A downgrade hides the surfaces that plan doesn't include; it doesn't delete anything underneath.

You change plans from the plan picker. For the step-by-step, see choosing or changing your plan.

Already on Run? Upgrade in place

If you already have a paid plan and want to move up to Grow, you don't go back through checkout. From the locked Grow tab, tap See plans to reach the Unlock Grow page, then tap Switch to Grow. The card on a live plan reads Switch to Grow, not Choose Grow.

The change happens in place: no Stripe redirect, no card re-entry. Clear Day adjusts your subscription with proration so you only pay the difference for the rest of the current period, and Grow flips on right away: the Grow tab unlocks and the enrollment drafting starts the moment the switch lands. Going the other direction (Grow back to Run) works the same way.

How you pay the first time

Checkout is for setting up a brand-new subscription: your first plan after the trial, or restarting a lapsed one. When you choose a plan in that state, Clear Day hands you off to Stripe Checkout to enter your card. On the web the page redirects to Stripe. On iPhone and iPad, the app opens Checkout in your phone's browser. No payment happens inside the app. Once Checkout is done, you come back and your plan is live.

After that, switching between Run and Grow is the in-place change above: no checkout. To update your card or read invoices later, see managing your subscription.

Which plan is right

A short way to decide:

  • You want the operations stack and you'll handle enrollment your own way: Run.
  • You want the operations stack plus the enrollment engine and the drafting that chases it: Grow.

You're not locked in. Start on the trial, see what each plan opens for two weeks, and choose when you're ready.
