How classrooms affect your bill

On Run and Grow, each classroom is one seat. Run is $59 a month per classroom and Grow is $99. Five classrooms on Grow is 5 × $99, or $495 a month.

Plus is different. It's one flat price for the school, so adding a classroom doesn't change it.

What you see when you add a room

The New classroom form shows a note just above Create classroom. What it says depends on where your school is.

• During your trial: "Classrooms are free during your trial — set up every room you run. When you pick a plan, pricing is per classroom." Nothing is charged, so add every room.
• On a paid plan: a line with your per-room rate and the new total, for example "Your plan is billed per classroom ($59/mo each). Adding this room brings you to 5 classrooms — $295/mo, prorated from today."

In the app, the same note appears on the new classroom form.

The note never blocks the form. It's there so the total isn't a surprise.

What proration means

If you add a room in the middle of a billing month, you pay for the rest of that month only. Stripe adds the prorated amount to your next invoice, and from the following month the full per-room rate applies.

When you remove a room

Deleting a classroom lowers your seat count, and Clear Day updates your subscription to match. A credit for the unused part of the month goes toward your next bill. The smallest count we bill is one classroom, even if you have none.

Sample classrooms from onboarding don't count as seats.

If the count looks wrong

Clear Day updates your seat count each time you add or delete a room, and checks it again every night. If your count hasn't caught up after a day, write to [email protected].
