Permanently delete your Clear Day account. Free and Plus admins email [email protected]; everyone else confirms with a password.
Deleting your account removes you and your personal data for good. There's no undo and no recovery.
What happens to your school
Deleting your account removes you and your personal data. It doesn't delete your school, its leads or its published website. Those stay as they are.
If you're the only admin
What you see depends on your plan.
Free or Plus. You're your school's only admin, and these plans can't add another one (teams come with Run or Grow). So there's no delete form for you. Delete account reads "You're your school's only admin, so this is done by email."
To close your account, email [email protected]. The page shows the address with a Copy button. If you also want your school's published website taken down, say so in your email. Until you email, nothing changes: your school, its leads and your published website stay as they are.
Run or Grow. Clear Day won't let the only admin of a school delete their account: "You're the only admin for [your school]. Add another admin before deleting your account." Invite another School Admin first. On the web, use Invite team under People. In the app, go to the School tab, then Invite team. Once another admin is in place, follow the steps below.
Delete your account
These steps are for anyone who isn't their school's only admin, including teachers and parents.
- Go to Settings and open Delete account.
- Read the card titled This action is permanent.
- Enter your password in Password. A wrong password counts toward sign-in lockout.
- Select Delete my account.
- Confirm with Delete, or Cancel to stay. The prompt reads "Are you sure? This cannot be undone."
If Verify it's you appears when you submit, enter your password in Password, plus the code from Authenticator code if you use two-step verification, and select Verify. Clear Day then finishes the change. It only asks when you haven't verified recently.
You're signed out the moment it goes through.
If you only need a break
You don't have to delete anything. You can quiet alerts in notification settings.
