Clear Day for Parents is a connector for AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT. Add it, then ask for licensed child care near a city or ZIP, compare providers, see open tour times at a provider that uses Clear Day, and get a checklist of what to ask when you visit. It is for adults (parents and guardians) looking for child care, not for children. Requesting a tour is coming to the connector. It needs no sign-in and no Clear Day account.

This is not the family app

“Clear Day for Parents” here is a connector for your AI assistant. It is separate from the Clear Day family app, where parents at a Clear Day school see updates and pay tuition. That is described on Clear Day for families.

What you can do

  • Find licensed child care near a city and state or a ZIP, by age group, hours, subsidy and meals, from public state licensing data.
  • Compare providers side by side: license status, ages, hours, capacity and quality rating.
  • See open tour times at a provider that uses Clear Day.
  • Request a tour, when available. Clear Day gets your first name, last name and email and emails you a link to confirm. Nothing reaches the school until you confirm.
  • Prepare for a visit.Get a tour checklist tuned to your child’s age group, and a calm two-week plan for a first day.

What a search returns

  • It lists only providers the state shows as licensed and operating, from public state licensing data, as of the date the state last reported.
  • Each result has the provider's state license details and, where the state publishes one, a link to its state licensing record.
  • Details for one provider, or a comparison, add the latest inspection the state reports and a link to the inspection report where there is one. Not every state reports inspections.
  • It shows no prices.
  • Some providers' street addresses and distances are withheld, including home-based ones; use the state record.

Your privacy

  • It uses public information. It does not ask for, accept or return anything about your child: no name, birth date, photo or health detail. Use an age group instead.
  • A tour request sends your first name, last name and email to Clear Day, which emails you a confirmation link. Nothing reaches the provider until you confirm. It asks for nothing about your child.
  • You confirm every tour request yourself, from the email we send you.

Tools and skills

  • find_licensed_child_care: Searches licensed child care near a city and state or a 5-digit ZIP, optionally by age group (infant, toddler, pre-K or school age), opening and closing hours, subsidy and meals. Up to 10 results a page and 3 pages; with a ZIP, nearest first within a radius.
  • get_child_care_provider: One provider's state licensing details: license status, ages, hours, capacity, quality rating and the latest inspection the state reports, with links to the state record.
  • compare_child_care_providers: Compares 2 to 5 providers side by side on the same licensing details.
  • get_child_care_tour_times: Open tour times at a provider that uses Clear Day, for a provider found with find_licensed_child_care.
  • request_child_care_tour: When available: asks for a tour at a school that uses Clear Day. Sends your first name, last name and email to Clear Day, which emails you a link to confirm. Nothing reaches the school until you confirm. It never asks for anything about your child.
