Reset your pickup PIN
Set or change the numeric PIN you key in at your school's check-in kiosk. The reset confirms it's you with a fresh security check first.
Your pickup PIN is the short numeric code you key in at your school's check-in kiosk to check a child in or out. It's 4 to 6 digits, and it's tied to your caregiver record at the school. If you've forgotten it, or you just want a fresh one, you can set a new PIN yourself from Settings.
You don't need your old PIN to do this. You set a new one and it replaces whatever was there before, across every child you're a caregiver for at that school.
Before you start
You need a caregiver record at the school to have a PIN at all. If you don't, the reset will tell you to contact your school admin to set one up first.
Reset your PIN
- Open Settings and choose Reset pickup PIN.
- Enter a new PIN of 4 to 6 digits.
- Confirm it, then save.
Because rotating a kiosk credential is a sensitive action, the app asks you to confirm it's really you before it goes through.
The "Verify it's you" prompt
When you save, you'll see a Verify it's you prompt. This is a fresh security check, separate from being signed in.
- Password. Always enter the password you sign in with.
- Authenticator code. If you have two-factor authentication turned on, you'll also enter the current 6-digit code from your authenticator app.
Once you verify, the new PIN takes effect immediately and we send a confirmation email to the address on your account. For security, that email never includes the new PIN itself.
If it doesn't work
- It says it needs a fresh check / verification failed. Re-enter your sign-in password. If you use an authenticator app, make sure the 6-digit code is the current one before it rolls over.
- It says there's no caregiver record at this school. Your school needs to add you as a caregiver before you can have a PIN. Contact your school admin.
- It won't let you try again. For safety, resets are limited to a few attempts per hour. Wait a bit and try once more.
Forgot the password the verification prompt asks for? You can reset it: Change your password.
