Connector documentation

The Clear Day Family connector

Connect your Clear Day Family account to an AI assistant and ask it what’s coming up this week, what a child has on a given day, or when the last bottle or nap was. It answers from your own Clear Day Family account, and it can add a reminder for you.

Which connector is this?

This one is for parents with a Clear Day Family account. It is separate from the connectors for school directors and for finding child care. See their documentation for one assistant or for another.

Connect it

  1. In your assistant’s settings, add a custom connector with this address: https://mcp.useclearday.com/mcp/family
  2. A Clear Day sign-in page opens. Enter the email you use for Clear Day Family. We email you a 6-digit code, which works for 10 minutes. There is no password.
  3. A consent screen lists what the assistant will and won’t be able to do. Choose to allow it or deny it.
  4. Ask your assistant, for example, “What’s on this week?” or “When was the last bottle?”

Menu names differ between assistants and change over time. If a label differs, look for the connectors or apps section in your assistant’s settings. The connector asks for one permission, family, which covers the tools below for your Clear Day Family account and nothing else. It cannot be used with Clear Day’s school connector, and a school sign-in cannot be used here.

What the assistant can see

Only your own family, and only what your place in each child’s circle allows:

  • Your children’s first names.
  • Their schedules and your family’s plans from your family inbox: events, tasks and reminders, with the subject and date of the email each one came from.
  • Your reminders.
  • The day’s logs, such as the latest bottle, feed, diaper and sleep, as plain details (“4 oz formula”, “90 min”). The text of notes is never included.

Plans come from the family inbox. Until it is available on your account, the assistant will say your plans aren’t available yet; logs work either way.

What it can do

Two things: add a reminder to your family’s plans, and mark a task, reminder or event done (you can reopen it in the app). Both are marked as changes, so your assistant asks you to confirm before each one. Nothing is sent to anyone.

What it can never see or do

  • Health or medical information. Clear Day Family has no fields for it, so there is none to share.
  • Photos, and the text of notes, milestones and captions.
  • Anything about another family.
  • School records and school staff data, even if you also use Clear Day at a school.
  • Deleting, sharing or sending anything.

How your data is used

  • The connector reads only what you ask about, when your assistant asks for it. Nothing is pushed to the assistant on its own.
  • Every request checks again that your account and your permission are still in place.
  • Clear Day never uses your family’s data to train AI models (see our privacy policy).
  • Once an answer reaches your assistant, your assistant’s own settings decide how it is kept and whether it is used for training. Check your assistant’s data settings.
  • Our usage records for the connector hold only which tool ran, when, and whether it worked, never what you asked or what came back.

Manage or disconnect

In the Clear Day Family app, go to Account → Connected apps to see the assistants you’ve connected and disconnect any of them. You can also remove the connector in your assistant’s settings. Disconnecting takes effect on the assistant’s next request.
