Check delivery and retry
Available on Run and Grow
Rolling out: if you don't see this yet, it isn't on for your school yet.
See how many families opened an announcement, who it never reached, and try another way to reach them.
"Sent to 66" does not mean 66 families saw it. On an announcement, Clear Day shows you who opened it and who it never reached.
How many opened it
Under each school-wide announcement you will see Opened with a count such as 41 of 54, and a bar. Only directors see this.
If some families have not opened it, choose See the 13 who haven't. The list names each family and its state:
- Not opened: it arrived, and they have not looked.
- Didn't arrive: it never got through.
- No app · text: they have no app.
- Opened: they have.
On the web, Draft a nudge puts a short reminder in the message box for you to read and send. Nothing goes out until you send it.
Families it never reached
When some families did not receive it, a red button leads: for example 3 didn't arrive. It opens a list headed "3 people never received this". Each person shows a plain reason, such as Email bounced, Send failed or No contact, and what was tried.
Each row offers the next best way to reach them:
- Push again: a push notification.
- Retry email.
- Text instead.
- Log a call: for a family you would rather phone.
- Print it: when there is nothing on file, so you can hand them paper.
Clear Day shows the result of each retry as it happens. If a family has no contact details, the row says so. Add their details to the family record, then try again.
In the app
The same counts sit under each announcement post, with the same lists and retry options.
