When Clear Day won't load
Available on every plan
Fixes for a blank screen, a spinner that never stops, or an error, on the web or in the app.
A blank screen, an endless spinner, an error: it's almost always your connection, an old version, or an expired sign-in. Try these in order.
On the web
- Check your connection. Open any other website. If it won't load either, the problem is your network.
- Hard refresh. Press Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows, or Cmd+Shift+R on a Mac.
- Try another browser, or a private window. If it works there, an extension or saved data in your usual browser is the cause.
- Sign out and back in. That gives you a fresh session if the old one expired.
In the app
- Check your connection. Switch from Wi-Fi to cellular, or the other way around.
- Update the app. Open the App Store, search for Clear Day, and tap Update if it's offered. For smaller fixes, open Settings, then About, then Check for updates, and restart the app to apply them.
- Force-quit and reopen. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen, pause, and flick the app away.
- Sign out and back in. In Settings, tap Sign out, then sign in again.
- Restart your device.
The offline banner
In the app, if you lose your connection a banner reads "You're offline. Showing cached data." Your recent screens still open, but they aren't live. The banner goes away and everything refreshes when you're back online. The web has no offline banner.
Still stuck?
If your connection is fine, it may be on our end. Give it a few minutes. If it isn't back, you can delete the app and reinstall it from the App Store. Your data lives in the cloud, so nothing is lost.
Still nothing? Email support with your device, your app version or browser, and what's on the screen. A screenshot helps most.
