Sign up your school

Welcome. Getting your school onto Clear Day is one sitting, not a project. The iOS app walks you through it end to end: you'll create your account, confirm your email, add a photo, and fill in your school's details, all in one flow. If early access is in effect when you sign up, we'll reach out instead of dropping you straight in: otherwise, here's the flow, start to finish.

Before you start

Have these on hand:

• Your name and a work email
• Your school's name, street address, and phone number
• The state your school operates in

Create your account

1. Open the Clear Day app and tap to create an account. On the Welcome to Clear Day screen, fill in your First name, Last name, Email, a Password of at least 8 characters, and Confirm password. Tap Continue.
2. We email you a 6-digit code. On the Verify your email screen, type it in and tap Verify. If the code doesn't show up, tap Resend code. There's a short wait before you can send another, and only a few resends are allowed in a row before it asks you to try again later.
3. On the Add a photo screen, choose a profile photo so your team recognizes you, then tap Continue. Not ready? Tap Skip — I'll add a photo later.
4. On the Find your school screen, start typing your school's name. Clear Day searches state licensing records and offers matches; pick yours and your profile fills itself in. If you'd rather type it all out, tap Skip — I'll enter manually.
5. On Set up your school (Step 2 of 4), enter your School name. Start typing your Street address and pick a suggestion to fill in City, State, and ZIP code for you. Add an Apt / suite if you need one, set your State from the picker if it isn't already, and add your Phone. Tap Continue.

Only the school name is required here. Leave the address, phone, and state blank if you want and fill them in later under Settings. The state list and address suggestions come from the server, so stay connected for this step.

What happens next

Once your profile is in, the app asks Where is your school's data today? and offers to bring your existing roster over. Starting clean? Pick Nothing — starting fresh or I'll do this later to move past it. Either way, you land in the app. Good next steps: invite your staff and import your roster.

A note on the web: the web sign-up form creates your account and stops there. It skips the email-verification and school-profile steps. To build out your full school profile, use the iOS app, or fill it in later under manage your school profile.

You don't have to get every setting right on day one. Settling in across a few sittings during your first week is fine.
