Getting started

Set up your school profile

Add your school's name, address, phone, and state so Clear Day knows the basics about your center.

Once your account exists, Clear Day asks for the basics about your center: what it's called, where it is, how to reach you, and which state you're in. The screen is titled Set up your school, and the header marks it Step 2 of 4.

This step lives in the Clear Day mobile app. The web sign-up page only creates your login: name, email, and password. When you open the app and start onboarding, the school profile is the first thing you'll fill in.

If you came in from an invite or a center we already recognized, your details are pre-filled and the subtitle reads We found your center — review and tweak below. Otherwise it reads You can update these later in Settings, which is the honest version: nothing here is locked.

What you'll enter

  • School name: the only required field
  • Street address: with address suggestions as you type
  • Apt / suite (optional)
  • City
  • State
  • ZIP code
  • Phone

You only need the school name to move on. The rest are optional, but filling them in now saves a trip back to Settings later.

Filling it in

Type your center's name in School name: for example, Sunnyside Preschool. That's the one field you can't skip.

When you start typing the Street address, suggestions appear after the third character. Tap one and it fills the street, city, state, and ZIP at once. If suggestions don't show up, type each field yourself: nothing is blocked either way.

For State, tap the field to open the Select state picker. Search by name or two-letter code, then tap your state. Pick the state where your center is licensed, even if your mailing address sits somewhere else: your state is what drives Clear Day's licensing-compliance features.

Fill in City, ZIP code, and Phone if the address suggestions didn't already cover them, then tap Continue. That takes you to the next onboarding step, where you tell us how you're coming to Clear Day.

Changing it later

None of this is permanent. If your name, address, phone, or state changes, you can edit your school profile any time. See Manage your school profile.
