Create a school or join one?

This is the very first fork in the road when you open Clear Day on your phone or tablet. You'll either set up a brand-new center or join one a colleague already built. Pick the path that matches where you are, and you're off.

Getting to the choice

Open the app and you land on the Clear Day welcome screen. Tap Get started.

That takes you to a screen titled How would you like to start?, with the line Choose your path — you can change this later underneath. Two cards wait there:

• Create a new school: Set up your school and invite your team. This is for directors and owners standing up a center for the first time.
• Join an existing school: Use an invite code from your director. This is for teachers and admins whose school is already on Clear Day.

Already know you're joining? You can skip the cards. The welcome screen has a Have an invite code? Join here link that drops you straight into the join flow.

Creating a new school

Pick this when no one at your center has set up Clear Day yet.

Tap Create a new school. You'll land on Create your account: first and last name, email, a password. Clear Day emails you a verification code to confirm the address, and from there you build out the center: your school profile, then your team.

Once the school exists, Set up your school profile walks through filling in the details.

Joining an existing school

Pick this when your director or administrator already created the school and handed you an invite code.

Tap Join an existing school. Clear Day asks for the invite code, then has you set a password. Enter the code, and your account connects to the right school: your classrooms, messages, and roster all show up. No code yet? Ask your director for one.
