Export and print reports
Save any report as a CSV or send it to a printer, straight from the report view on the web.
Once a report is on screen, you can save it as a CSV for your records or send it to a printer. Both buttons sit in the top-right corner of the report, next to its title.
Export and print live in the web app. The phone app shows reports but doesn't export or print them, so reach for a browser when you need a file or a hard copy.
When the buttons work
Export CSV and Print only do anything once the report has rows on screen. Until then they stay greyed out. If a report needs a date range, generate it first. Roster and staff reports load on their own.
When a report comes back with No data found for the selected filters., there's nothing to hand off, so both buttons stay off. Widen your date range or change the classroom filter and try again. Run and filter reports walks through narrowing the results.
Export to CSV
- Open the report and make sure rows are showing. For date-range reports, set your Date range and Classroom, then click Generate report. Roster and staff reports load automatically; use Refresh if you've changed the filter.
- Click Export CSV in the top-right corner.
- The file downloads right away, to wherever your browser keeps downloads.
The export includes every row in the report, not only the page you happen to be looking at. It also carries a few columns the table tucks away on screen, like who checked a student in and out, or a student's full list of emergency contacts.
The file is named for the report and the day you pulled it, like attendance-report-2026-05-31.csv.
Click Print in the top-right corner. Your browser's print dialog opens, where you can send the report to a printer or save it as a PDF. It prints the report as it appears, summary numbers and tables included.
Working with the data
A CSV opens in Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers, or any spreadsheet app. Each report column becomes its own column, so you can sort, filter, total, and chart from there. List fields, like a student's allergies or emergency contacts, land in a single cell with semicolons between them.
Note: A CSV is a snapshot from the moment you export. Run the report again to catch any check-ins, incidents, or roster changes since.
