Invite family and caregivers to your child's circle
Available on every plan
Invite a co-parent, family or a nanny by email, choose an access level for each person, and change someone's access or remove them.
A child's circle is the people who can see and log that child's day. Each person has an access level that sets what they see and do. Only owners (you and a co-parent) can invite people and change the circle.
Access levels

| Everything | Sees every log and the photos shared with the circle, logs, and adds photos. Doesn't manage the circle or see photos shared with parents only. |
| Can log | For a nanny or babysitter. Logs bottles, naps and diapers, and sees the last 7 days of logs. Also sees milestones and the photos shared with the circle. |
| Photos and milestones | For grandparents, aunts and uncles. Sees the photos shared with the circle and milestones. No logs. |
Invite someone
- Open Circle and choose Invite.
- Enter Their email. You can also add What [your child] calls them, such as "Abuela".
- Under What can they do?, pick an access level. Photos and milestones is selected to start.
- Choose Send invite.
They'll see "Invited" next to their name in the circle until they join. If the invite expires, choose Resend to send a new one. To cancel an invite, press and hold Hold to cancel invite.
What the person you invite gets
They get an email with the subject "[Your name] invited you to follow [your child] on Clear Day Family" and an Accept the invitation button. The invitation works once and expires in 14 days.
- They choose Accept the invitation. The page shows who invited them, to whose circle, and their access level.
- They choose Continue with your email and sign in with the address the invite was sent to. We email them a code; there's no password.
- They choose Join the circle.
If they're signed in with a different email, the page says so and offers Sign out and use the invited address. They don't need the app to see what you share.
Change someone's access
Open Circle and pick a new level from the menu next to the person. You can't change a pending invite: resend it with the level you want instead. You can't change a co-parent who has joined.
Remove someone
Open Circle and press and hold Hold to remove next to the person until the button fills. They lose access to the child right away. A co-parent who has joined can't be removed by the other owner.
Leave a circle
Anyone can leave a child's circle. Open Circle and press and hold Hold to leave (or Hold to leave [child]'s circle) until the button fills. An owner can leave only while another owner stays: the last owner can't leave, and deletes the child instead (see Add your child).
